As a b13 backend developer, Lisa focuses on the server side of building web applications: lots of logic and support to keep the user interface functional and friction-free. For Lisa, there is no problem big enough she just solves all of them on-the-go, even before breakfast. As a fast thinker, she almost always taps the right solution instantly, and learns from the few mistakes she makes right away.

With fluency in TYPO3, PHP, and SQL, Lisa is responsible for designing databases and writing the server logic that drives communications—and forms the foundation for user experiences. Once those databases are developed, she keeps an eye on how they’re functioning and works to ensure security, storage, and scalability for the system.
Expertise and Fun:
- TYPO3, PHP, and SQL
- Asking why to understand decisions and processes
- Embracing curiosity
- Self-reflection to become a better version of Lisa
- Going fast! Running as a sport
- Sitting still! To read a good book or play a game of chess with friends
Lisa and TYPO3
TYPO3 is open source and configurable for your own needs. I am also a member of the TYPO3 Education Committee, so I can give something back to the community I love, and get to know the Core better as we create the test for developer certification.
Lisa on working at b13
I like the atmosphere and how the team interacts! Everyone is happy to help and kind—there’s a culture of getting better from and with each other that’s made it much easier to become a part of the team. I learn much better through working together on specific topics than I do by exploring things theoretically.
Lisa's Dos and Don'ts
- Help others and ask questions to learn from them
- Transparency is key
- Efficient code beats complicated code every time
- Don’t make false promises
- Don’t keep your knowledge to yourself
- Don’t set yourself unrealistic deadlines
