Digital accessibility
Do you want to ensure that your website offers digital accessibility and is accessible to all users?
Starting in late June 2025, web accessibility will no longer be just a voluntary measure that benefits SEO—it will become a legal requirement that website owners must comply with. However, accessibility is much more than just a checkbox for SEO or regulatory compliance—it ensures true access for everyone and should be a fundamental part of every digital experience.
b13 has the expertise and the right tools to carry out an initial analysis. Our accessibility check helps you to realistically assess the effort and costs required for accessibility optimisation - for a more inclusive and user-friendly online presence.
Let's connectBecause it really makes a difference
Web accessibility is more than just a legal requirement – it enables people with disabilities to use and participate in content without restriction. Around 10 million people in Germany live with a disability, and 7.8 million already use assistive technologies such as screen readers. In addition, there are older users with age-related limitations and those temporarily affected by injuries or operations. Accessibility on the web is therefore not a niche but essential to ensure equal access to digital content for everyone.
At b13, we are committed to digital accessibility - because an inclusive web is not only better for the individual, it improves the digital world for everyone.
Our accessibility check:
We offer two different analysis packages tailored to the varying requirement levels of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 (WCAG 2.1):
1. State-of-Play Analysis – based on the AA standard.
2. AAA-Level Analysis – if desired, we build on the initial analysis to assess your website against the AAA standard.
Both analyses aim to provide an estimate of the technical effort required and deliver a detailed report. The insights help you prioritize issues, develop a clear plan, and implement measures efficiently—ensuring a truly accessible digital experience for all.
What is included in the State of Play check (AA):
Review your most important pages:
We test the most important 10 pages of your site, including the core elements. We rely on your expertise to select these pages; test pages with all content modules help us, but checking pages with real content is at least as important.
Further pages, external tools and connections are not part of the analysis - but can be ordered additionally.
Manual and automated testing:
We test your website both manually and with automated tools for keyboard and mouse usability.
Colour contrast analysis:
We analyse the colour contrasts of your website and make recommendations for adjustments to meet the requirements of the AA and AAA standards.
Form accessibility:
We check whether the forms are easy for all users to complete and whether they can be understood by assistive technology such as screen readers.
Working with images:
We will provide you with feedback on which, if any, of your images used on the site are not accessible and how you can change this.
