TYPO3 Extension “VG Wort Pro”
Version 0.10.0 (2026-09-19)
VG Wort pays authors for texts that are read online. What it pays for is measured by a counting pixel, and what it pays out is decided by a report that has to reach VG Wort before a deadline, describe the text that is actually online, and never be wrong—because a sent report cannot be corrected.
This extension does the part between those two facts: it keeps the pixels, extracts the text as the page delivers it, checks what would make a report fail, sends it, and reads back what VG Wort already knows.
Compatibility
| TYPO3 | v14 LTS |
| PHP | 8.2 and above |
| Requires | b13/vgwort—the free extension that holds the pixel field and renders it |
| Optional | typo3/cms-dashboard—adds a status widget, nothing else changes without it |
Chapters
| Chapter | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Installation | Setup, credentials, the production checklist, a smoke test |
| How It Works | Pixel to payout: the path a text takes, its states, and the numbers that decide money |
| Configuration | Every setting with its default, including the four that come from the free extension |
| Pixel Pool | Importing, ordering, assigning, and retiring counting pixels |
| Text Registration | Extraction, review, submission, and what makes a text reportable |
| Bundled Texts | One text spread over several pages, reported as one |
| Syncing Registrations | Reading existing reports back from VG Wort, and the discrepancy review |
| Backend Module | The module’s views, permissions, and how to delegate work |
| Privacy and Consent | What VG Wort says about cookies, and why a consent banner costs counts |
Where to Start
You are setting this up for the first time. Read Installation end to end, then walk the production checklist before you report anything. The one step people skip is checking that a page actually delivers its pixel—see How It Works.
You already track with VG Wort and want to keep what you have. Start at Syncing Registrations. Existing reports are read back, and pixels you entered by hand can be upgraded to full pool entries—see Pixel Pool.
You have a manual or handbook across many pages. Read Bundled Texts first. Reporting those pages individually is the mistake that cannot be undone afterwards.
