T3ppy Gives TYPO3 a Friendly Face

CMS projects are not usually associated with fun.
They are associated with permissions, workflows, migrations, content models, release cycles, and the occasional cache that still needs clearing. These things matter. But they do not mean that working with a CMS has to feel impersonal.
We believe TYPO3 can have a friendly face.
That Is Where T3ppy Comes In
We have always had a soft spot for characters like Clippy. Not because they solved every problem, but because they gave software a personality. They made complex systems feel a little less abstract and a little more approachable.
That is what we want T3ppy to do for TYPO3
T3ppy is not a replacement for good user experience, clear documentation, or reliable workflows. He is an additional layer that can make interactions more understandable, recognizable, and sometimes simply more enjoyable.
At b13, we are currently putting the finishing touches on our own T3ppy extension for TYPO3. It brings the character directly into the backend and uses him as a companion for editorial workflows.
But we do not want T3ppy to remain limited to our own extension.
With the T3ppy design kit, you can create y our own version of him. Combine expressions, gestures, hands, and accessories in Canva, or download the individual SVG and PNG assets for your preferred design tool.
Use T3ppy in your TYPO3 extension, your next presentation, a blog post, a conference badge, a Slack emoji, or wherever a friendly face makes complex technology easier to approach.
The assets are available under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).
You may share, adapt, and use T3ppy for both non-commercial and commercial purposes.
A Friendly Face for Serious Software
TYPO3 is professional software for serious projects. That does not mean we cannot bring a little more personality and fun into the way we work with it.
Share your version with #T3ppy. We are looking forward to seeing where he appears next.
